Lower School Girls Book Club

The Lower School Girls Book Club is an after school club for girls in fourth and fifth grade to enjoy books outside of their assigned reading and provides a safe space for the girls to discuss various preteen topics that arise through the readings. The club will meet monthly on a Tuesday after school to discuss the monthly book and will have a few additional events throughout the year in the evening to bond and enjoy each other's company.

This month's book is A Mango-Shaped Space by Wendy Mass!

Girls, you did an amazing job at our October meeting! Ms. Westley and I were so blown away by how insightful you all were when discussing Hope is a Ferris Wheel and we were very touched by how beautiful your hope metaphors and stories were. We hope that you enjoy our second book just as much. Please continue to journal as you read so we can have another rich discussion for our November meeting.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 28th from 3:15-4:15 in room 218. Please let your parents know the date and remind them that unless you are in Apollo, pick-up is promptly at 4:15. Don't forget to bring your books and notebooks with you!
