With that being said, we are going to have exciting learning activities, fun zoom events, and so much more.

To help assist us through this fun educational journey Ms. Mary Philemon will be the assistant teacher who holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from High Institute of Cooperative and Management in Cairo, Egypt, speaks fluent in Arabic. Ms. Mary's favorite color is purpleshe loves art, singing and french fries! She has a son and one daughter who attends LCCS and is very active in the LCCS Community.

Pre-K will include whole group, small group, and inquiry-based lessons aligned to Creative Curriculum. Each week, students will have assignments to complete via Google Classroom.  We will provide direct instruction daily and will try to make sure that these are done online as much as possible; however, we also understand the importance of limiting screen time. Throughout the year we will keep you informed of everything that is going on- such as classroom plans, your child’s progress and all the activities that will make this a successful and memorable year.

If you should have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please contact me at nwashington@lccsnj.org or during remote office hours Fridays from 8am- 9am at (908)-793-8683. Remember to check the school’s website often for newsletters as well as important updates.
We are thrilled to be sharing this year with you and your child.

What is Creative Curriculum?
The Creative Curriculum is research-based and supports the development of the whole child. High-quality, comprehensive resources empower educators to intentionally teach and care for our youngest learners during the most critical and formative years of development.

Studies for the year: Beginning of the Year- Trees – Clothing – Recycling – Buildings- Balls
Through studies, which are hands-on, project-based investigations, The Creative Curriculum for Preschool helps teachers build children’s confidence, creativity and critical thinking skills, and promote positive outcomes.
