Read-a-Thon is one of the ways we do so much at LCCS - raise money and have fun reading at the same time! Ask your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers - anyone - to pledge your kid to read. If you did not get a Read-a-Thon packet in your child's backpack, click here to get a new one.
This year we are excited to introduce several fun new features for Read-A-Thon!
Wednesday: School-wide Read-In for Black History Month
At one point in the day, everyone in the school will STOP, DROP AND READ! Classes will be stocked with books by African American writers and/or children will be encouraged to bring in their own books written by African American writers in honor of Black History Month.
