                                                                           August 2021

Hello Preschool Families!

My name is Ms Amanda and I am delighted to be teaching your child this year! I am very much looking forward to getting to know you and to a year filled with exploration, learning, and adventure! We will begin the year getting to know each other and move into our Tree Study in October. In the meantime, Ms Antoinette and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about ourselves.

I have been a teacher for 30 years and I find every new school year to be as exhilarating as my very first!  The students each bring their own unique gifts and talents to class and as a result, they energize and inspire me to learn right alongside them in a true learning community. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in School Building Leadership from Bank Street College of Education and have taught in both public as well as private schools.  In addition to working with young children, I very much enjoy crafting, gardening, reading and yoga.  I am thrilled to be a part of the LCCS community for five years now, and look forward to working with all of you this school year.

Welcome to PreK! My name is Ms. Antoinette, I am excited to be a part of the Learning Community Charter School Family. More importantly, I am thrilled to be your teacher! This will be my first year teaching Pre-K at LCCS, but I come to this school with over 9 years of experience as a classroom teacher. I have an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Kean University. I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my daughter. I can’t wait to share my love of learning, creating and exploring with you. This is going to be a fun year and I can’t wait to see what it has in store for us!

We look forward to meeting you on September 8th at our Pre-K Open House. Please be prepared to bring two extra changes of clothes (including undergarments and socks) on the very first day of school. And don't forget to practice having your child put masks independently!
We look forward to seeing you soon and to hearing all about your summer!

Warm wishes,

Amanda Marchesani    and      Antoinette Cameron
